The Detroit Creative Society
The Detroit Creative Society (DCS) is a group of youth & young adults (14-25 years of age) dedicated to supporting and uplifting our arts and cultural community while bridging a relationship between Corktown & Mexicantown. DCS is part of the Cultural Crossroads Initiative and programmed through Congress of Communities located at 4870 St. Hedwig st. Detroit, MI 48210. DCS provides tangible outlets for multicultural musicians, performers, artists, vendors, and curators.

Join us for an exciting free event called The Pieces of Detroit! It's a unique opportunity to explore and celebrate the major cultures that make this city whole. From art mural installations to dancing, this event will take you on a journey through the heart and soul of Detroit.
Starting on Sat. Nov 04, 2023 at 12:00 PM , we will activate multiple areas surrounding the Michigan Central Station. You can enjoy free food, entertainment, and art installations at each location. Led by young leaders and organizers, The Detroit Creative Society has teamed up with numerous local organizations, artists, and vendors to produce the event “Pieces of Detroit” who share their love for Detroit and its rich cultures.
